Job Description

The opportunity

Reporting to the Inside Sales Lead, this position is responsible for supporting the Inside Sales team to ensure all customer expectations are met. Monitoring and maintaining orders within a branch, identifying issues, and working with the Sales and Operations group to resolve issues are key for this role.


Detailed Responsibilities

  • Achieve On-Time-Delivery through daily reviews of orders using relevant SAP reports and resolving issues as required
  • Support Project Coordinators as needed
  • Coordinate with purchasing team on order status, maintain notes and date information in SAP
  • Other administrative duties as assigned
  • Responsible for the coordination and timely completion of CAR’s and returns
  • Coordinate with Application Specialists on orders requiring attention /resolution of issues
  • Coordinate non-standard shipments – overseas, “hotshots” and direct, including any related paperwork and transactions in SAP
  • Maintain order information in SAP to ensure the warehouse team can process their activities efficiently and achieve targeted OTD KPIs
  • Prepare and submit invoices in a timely and efficient manner and address/resolve any invoice-related issues
  • Support Shipping/Receiving with processing SAP transactions and related paperwork, as needed
  • Daily review of and processing/triaging open items from customer portals/sales inbox, including RFQ’s, orders, submittals, and invoices.
  • Provide customer documentation as required for specific orders or contracts
  • Prepare order updates for customers – order updates are delivered back to the AS who will be the single point of contact for the client
  • Prepare reports and updates for Operations meetings


About you

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Experience using an ERP an asset
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience in an industrial business an asset
  • Critical thinking skills to see beyond what is being asked and be proactive
  • Effective time management skills and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize
  • Initiative to work closely and efficiently with internal stakeholders to resolve issues
  • 2+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
