This is an excellent opportunity for a Health and Safety Specialist to join a well-established roofing contractor in Burlington, Ontario. Growth opportunity is endless within the successful business.


About Our Client


Our client is a family owned and operated roofing contractor that has been serving the Ontario market for over 60 years. They have built a strong reputation and successful team of dedicated staff to serve all their large-scale commercial and industrial roofing projects. They deliver top quality and exceptional service. With their company growing they are searching for a Health and Safety Specialist to join their Burlington office. Within this role you will be dealing with all health and safety related items for new construction, re-roofing, and service projects.


About The Role


The Health and Safety Specialist will monitor and assist with implementation of all related health and safety items for the company. They will conduct all trainings for in office and on site staff, create action plans, develop and implement hazard identification tools, deal with trade documentation and support investigations.


In this role you will be working closely with the President of the company to ensure everyone is safe at work.


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE


The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in a related field.


This Candidate Will Have The Following Qualifications/skillset


  • Able to problem solve and prioritize.
  • Ability to identify risks/hazards on site.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and strong tech skills to learn new technology.
  • Able to understand OH&S, environmental legislations and HSE processes.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a health and safety role preferably within the construction industry (roofing preferred).
