Job Summary
TheCorporate Health, Safety and Environmental Managerwill have responsibility for providing functional leadership, technical expertise, & ensuring compliance for environmental health and safety across the company. This includes establishing & maintaining EHS programs, policies & procedures, awareness, and tracking progress against Key Performance Indicators and program goals & objectives. The Corporate EHS Manager shall consult with top operational leaders to drive continuous improvement in order to transform WMG’s safety culture to one with zero incidents.
This position will report directly to the COO for WMG and strongly supports/aligns with executive management and global leaders on all strategic EHS objectives
Job Duties:
- Champions the continuous improvement and development of global policies and programs to drive a zero incidents culture of safety throughout the organization, leveraging best practices and behavior-based safety methodology.
- Designs and implements technical safety improvement programs associated with facility risk factors and asset base, including but not limited to risk mitigation strategies.
- Coaches and mentor safety professionals and other key staff to achieve professional growth and improved business performance in the area of H&S and continuous improvement in support of the cultural transformation.
- Develops and implements processes and systems to track and evaluate worker injuries.
- Establishes and implements Global EHS goals and objectives
- Actively seeks out improvement opportunities of EHS practices through benchmarking and participation in external networks to maintain a working knowledge of global safety practices and government regulations.
- Monitors, analyzes and evaluates metrics that measure effectiveness of EHS Strategy implementation and overall compliance, provides updates to leadership and determine the best path forward.
- Drives accountability among all functions to eliminate accidents and injuries; manage programs such as safety training to increase the degree of engagement and ownership at the employee level.
- Develops and executes information solutions to enable efficient, accurate, and comprehensive global reporting and information exchange
- Provides leadership for the implementation, enforcement and continuous improvement of WMG’s Health & Safety standard.
- Translates strategic objectives into long-term plans
- Provides leadership to the EHS Management team internationally with the responsibility of guiding the implementation of WMG’s Health & Safety strategy and strategic objectives
- Implement and manage CI and behavior-based safety initiatives
- Manage of ISO 14001/45001 safety systems

- Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
- Comprehensive H&S knowledge of the principles, practices, procedures and programs for manufacturing, and office workplace
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients and regulatory bodies
- 10+ years progressive Health and Safety leadership experience required
- 10+ years in a global leadership role (direct or indirect)
- High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
- Experience in the implementation of behavioral based safety program
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
- Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required
