Greetings! I'm Tarun Somani, the Chief Operations Officer at Boxhub. Our team is committed to revolutionizing the trade, transportation, and usage of shipping containers, and we're doing this by scaling innovative operations in the supply chain, logistics, customer success, and market expansion. With my wealth of operational and marketplace experience, I'm leading a team of experts driving exponential growth at Boxhub. And now, I'm thrilled to announce that we're looking to hire our first-ever Head of Supply Chain. This role will be driving forward innovation within supply chain, improving our supply chain lifecycle and delighting our end customers and suppliers. Boxhub is an e-commerce & logistics startup on a mission to revolutionize the way shipping containers are traded, transported, and used. Shipping containers are becoming the most sustainable and cheapest solution for many storage and building projects. Your Mission

• Working closely with our product and engineering teams to input data sets and automate inventory management systems to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Utilizing data to make decisions on pricing and forecasting demand based on historical and competitive data to preempt planning and make data-driven purchases
• Manage a small team of Supply Chain Analysts and ensure we have high performing culture and our team collaborates well cross-functionally
• Spearheading relationship management with all of our container suppliers and converting them into strategic accounts
• Developing strategies to procure containers in the most cost-effective way, ensuring we’re not compromising on their quality
• Overseeing the day-to-day planning & execution of container procurement to fulfill orders across different markets as efficiently as possible, supporting us in delivering on our customer promises
• Disrupting the container trade industry by supporting us in building out new technology for suppliers and making their lives easier

What you bring to the table

• You're comfortable rolling up your sleeves and getting into the details to troubleshoot and find solutions
• You’ve managed a high-performing team, coaching and mentoring team members towards growth
• You thrive in uncertainty and can develop innovative solutions with minimal guidance while keeping different stakeholders in mind
• You've proven experience spearheading new initiatives and setting up new processes in the supply chain space
• You have phenomenal written and verbal communication skills. You’re a relationship builder and keen documenter.
• You have solid prior experience within the container shipping or leasing industry (highly preferred) or marketplace supply chain management
• You have a solid track record of experience in strategy, supplier relations, operations or growth. A combination of consulting and hyper-growth startup environment experience would be ideal
