Graphic Designer - 12 Month Contract

IQ PARTNERS Inc. is currently looking to hire an Intermediate Web & Print Designer for our financial client in Mississauga for an exciting 12 month contract job opportunity in which you will be an integral member of a small in-house marketing department working with 2 brands.

Salary: Competitive hourly pay rate

(Skills & Experience)

• Code webs pages, html emails and css from scratch
• University degree in Graphic Design
• Solve design problems quickly and creatively
• Experience as part of an interdisciplinary team including developers, visual designers and copywriters and marketing project managers
• Can work in OSX operating system (mac)
• Expert knowledge of the latest Adobe Creative Suite (CS6), HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Dreamweaver, Flash and Acrobat
• 4+ years’ experience in Graphic Design
• Be able to work independently to manage own work and thrive in a team
• Knowledge of overall creative process from concept to copy to design to publishing
• Emphasis will be placed on following brand guidelines and applying the existing brand guidelines look and feel to new pieces.
• Demonstrated print and web skills
• Additionally you will be required to create marketing materials for different annual tradeshows, conferences, town halls and social functions.
• Understand the print process and how to get a file print ready.
• Deliverables include full sites, microsites, online advertising, social media initiatives, mobile apps and more
• Strong problem-solving ability; able to embrace challenges with proven success
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Able to create own design concepts from scratch, including online banners, landing pages, infographics etc.

Preferred

• Understanding of the mortgage business, products and services considered an asset
• Experience in the financial services industry
