General Manager – F&B of Ostin’s & Parkway Social is the leader responsible for the dining room and the F&B side of our lane operations. This individual will be expected to perform administrative duties related to restaurant management and staffing.
More specifically, they are responsible for controlling costs and ensuring the training, support, and operational systems surrounding our team.
To be successful in this role you must possess exceptional leadership, keeping the team motivated and engaged in their roles. You must be confident in your role as you’re the direct report for all matters surrounding training, quality of goods and services, and daily operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Restaurant Operations:
- Balance operational, administrative, and employee needs while maintaining floor presence.
- General restaurant operations such as: overseeing daily operations, addressing areas of improvement, coordinating with local organizations for promotion purposes and partnerships, coordinating suppliers and merchants’ services, and updating POS systems and website.
Guest Service and Team Member Satisfaction:
- General guest service: responding to customer service needs, addressing complaints, and ensuring service standards.
- Working collaboratively with HR Manager for monitoring staff performance, maintaining employee records, onboarding, and scheduling.
- Ensuring team member satisfaction: role modeling leadership behaviors in the restaurant, maintaining team spirit and communication.
THE PERFECT CANDIDATE:
- Reservations systems management experience
- Previous experience in event planning and strong networking skills preferred
- Ability to develop and motivate staff to achieve challenging goals
- Drive for continuous improvement
- Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and multi-task as necessary.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Social Media savvy, managing social media pages, marketing, managing information, and replying to customer needs; in a professional and timely manner.
- Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Knowledge of wines and cocktails is a must.
- Hands-on management style
- Technically competent with industry-related forms of computer and electronic commerce
- Excellent leadership, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to maintain a calm and kind demeanor when dealing with guests and team members
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment; must be able to work under pressure.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant management experience in a fast-paced, casual/fine dining environment
- Some travel may be required
- Strong problem-solving abilities, communication, and interpersonal skills
