What you will do:
Rumble is seeking a Manager, Financial Operations who will report into the Financial Planning and Operations Group. The successful candidate will be experienced at working with business leads to ensure financial best practices are met. As the business grows and evolves, the successful candidate will also be responsible for researching, developing and maintaining tools/procedures to maintain the rapid growth. The individual will be process driven and is highly motivated improve business practices. Although not a start-up by definition - as proven by our 10 years of consistent and impressive growth - we operate as a lean and agile company whereby all members of the team “roll up our sleeves” and contribute across various capacities in order to drive success. We expect our Manager, Financial Operations to exhibit the same hands-on approach, passion for our mission and innate ability to get things done. In this key role you will:
- Perform Ad hoc analysis and other duties as required
- Responsible for working with development teams on execution of financial operational and reporting requirements from the accounting team for new/evolving business initiatives
- Manage, mentor, guide and oversee team members ensuring all tasks and expectations are being met
- Responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations which include and not limited to working with banks/merchant services, managing accuracy and efficiency of creator payments, enforcing credit procedures, accuracy and timeliness of customer billings and collections
- Ability to multitask and work quickly while being able to adapt to a rapidly evolving environment
- Work with the Controller’s group with involvement in the financial close process
- Responsible for developing and executing new business solutions and improvement of processes as the business grows/evolves
- Responsible for reviewing, understanding and execution of contractual guidelines
- Assess and/or develop ways of measuring the business performance
- Has an uncanny ability to get things done
Requirements
- Highly motivated and can work both as a team and independently
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- 4+ years of experience working in financial operational roles and experience executing finance initiatives
- Strategic/outside the box thinker with strong analytical, organization, problem-solving and an ability to execute on task
- Experience working in media, advertising and/or technology infrastructure will be a strong asset
- Proficient knowledge in MS Excel and technical competence using MS Word and PowerPoint
- Completed designation (CPA or other accounting designations) will be a strong asset
- Possess strong business acumen in various financial operational process and procedures

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods of time while using a computer and/or keyboard. The employee is required to communicate verbally and hear. The employee may be required to walk, reach with hands and arms, balance, and stoop or kneel. The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (i.e., working with small objects or reading small print), including the use of computers.
