Senior Financial Analyst Jobs

We are hiring a Senior Financial Analyst for a large privately held organization in Vancouver/Burnaby. With 30+ years in business, ~7,500 staff, and ~30 locations across Canada, this company is a key player in its field. It is also majority owned by a private investment group and seeks continued growth and expansion. Salary will be $90k-$100k + 15% bonus/RRSP.

This position sits in the Analytics Group, reporting to the Director. The team is results-oriented, hard working, and highly skilled. The people are generally relaxed, friendly, and down to earth, with proactive, self-motivated, growth mindsets. There is a high level of trust in the team, lots of autonomy and freedom to think creatively to find the right solutions. Management is very supportive and willing to go to battle to ensure the team has what they need to succeed.

The Senior Financial Analyst will:

• Ad-hoc projects.
• Assist strategic financial analysis and presentations for the Senior Management Team and external stakeholders such as investors, lenders, and research analysts.
• Risk analysis, scenario analysis, and building business cases and financial models related to strategic initiatives such as major investment projects and M&A.
• Maintain the corporate financial model and rolling cash & liquidity forecast.

What you bring:

• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and complex logic-based formulas.
• Ability to think creatively, and with a high level of adaptability.
• 3-5 years of experience in a financial analysis role.
• CPA or equivalent designation.
• Solid foundation in financial accounting and knowledge of IFRS.
• Experience of building and maintaining complex financial models in Excel, ideally corporate 3-statement models with supporting schedules.
