Financial Business Analyst Jobs

1. Margin BA – we need someone who understands Margin and seg calculations on a Wealth platform. They should have systems like Dataphile, ISM or Broadridge ADP on their resumes. They should understand the IIROC rates versus house rates and pricing for margin. We need someone who asks good questions, can facilitate a requirement session, can write strong requirements, current state and future state diagrams. They should have strong understanding of how the depots work (CDS, dTC) and how a firm would do sec lending based on seg calculations.
Margin BA continued – ba who has built margin before – they need a Lead that give them requirements from scratch in Canadian market.
Canada calculated from IROC rules – margin calculations – and the impact of the calculations
Looking for Broadridge – margin and segregations – SEG – whether assets are paid for in a client account
You can loan the security out – once its paid for it cant be loaned out
Broadridge – ADP / BPS – IRS – Softek – dataphile – ISM – could have also worked in a risk or margin area – “margin calls” these companies built out margin solutions.
They would be more backend BA’s –reconciliations –depos / Seg – moving from ledger accounts – work directly with the depos
Settlements and clearing.
Credit team decides if you can take money out of the account / Is this account okay in terms of a margin perspective.
2. CDS / DTC BA – deep depository backend knowledge - BNY / BNP / Citibank / Euroclear – 1 for DTC/CDS and 1 for BNY/BNP / Citibank / Euroclear

3. Fees BA – Looking for a strong BA who has knowledge of how to calculate fees on managed accounts based on daily or monthly calculations assets under management, trade fees, in advance or in arrears, etc. Experience with systems such as Purefacts, Revport, CGI billing system or other Fee Calculation systems. We need someone who understands managed accounts, wealth, etc so knowledge of Dataphile, Broadridge and/or ISM would also be helpful.
Fee’s BA continued / Tax – fee calculation engines - Assests under management – split it out by assets types – some people might have built these engines out on their own – replaces commissions on trades – managed accounts – MPOWER at cgi

4. Finance BA – looking for a BA who understands G/L integrations, Accounting for Wealth areas, experience with G/Ls such as S4, accounting experience for a large brokerage firm such as Wood Gundy, GMP, Richardson’s, experience with filing the Monthly Financial Report and what goes onto the Monthly Financial report (Sched1 to 12).
Finance BA continued – GL / Wealth – GL is on s4 – find someone who has done GL integration – know the tax info – transits etc – business knowledge with tax
5. Options BA - trading / clearing options, derivatives, multileg strategies, straddles, calls, puts, OTCC clearing and settlement.
