Financial Analyst

In support of our ongoing growth, we are looking to add a Financial Analyst to our team. The Financial Analyst will support our transition from Plex’s Workday system to Rockwell Automation’s SAP. The Financial Analyst will support operational and business objectives by retrieving, analyzing and presenting data and ensuring data accuracy through the transition to a new financial system. Upon completion of our transition to SAP, the Financial Analyst will provide ongoing support for our business by analyzing and presenting data, constructing and applying statistical and/or financial models to support strategic initiatives. Our ideal candidate will have accounting and business acumen, with a desire for a long-term career in financial planning and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Effectively navigate general ledger system to understand accounting transactions, perform necessary transaction research, and communicate adjustments, as needed
• Draw reasonable conclusions based on financial analyses and clearly present potential solutions and conclusions
• Utilize advanced spreadsheet skills to collect, maintain and analyze financial and statistical data
• Primary liaison between FP&A and Accounting to ensure consolidated externally reported results are consistent with those used for forecasting /budgeting
• Provide accounting assistance/support in response to departmental inquiries
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies timely and appropriately
• Assist with post-merger integration projects, as needed

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Familiar with Financial Statement preparation
• Highly driven and self-motivated to work
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with functional groups and business partners at different levels
• SAP experience required, Workday Financial ERP a plus
• Detail-oriented and excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Software/SAAS company experience a plus
• 2-4 years of accounting experience
• CPA and public accounting experience a plus
• Good understanding of GAAP and familiarity with financial statement mapping and preparation concepts
