Financial Analyst Jobs

Marquis is looking for a Financial Analyst for our Scarborough site.
As a member of our accounting team, the Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing, preparing, and reporting on financial results for use by management in controlling efficiencies and margins.
Job type: Full time, permanent, hybrid.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
Key Job Responsibilities Of The Financial Analyst

• Support the team in the development of the annual operating and capital budgets.
• Provide accounting expertise to internal departments and business entities;
• Contribute to the development and implementation of new management and analysis tools;
• Partner with operations to identify relationships between financial results and performance to identify opportunities for improvement;
• Participate in the inventory management process;
• Analyze actual costs and develop a system and process to bridge estimated costs to actual costs;
• Lead the month-end process of the business unit and assist with annual audit requirements;
• Prepare, analyze, and follow up on the business unit's investment projects;
• Be a part of various continuous improvement projects and ensure proper integration;
• Develop new operational and financial performance indicators to facilitate decision-making;

Qualifications Of The Financial Analyst

• Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities and meet deadlines;
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills as well as good ability to interpret and communicate ideas.
• A University degree in Finance/Accounting or Business Administration;
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Pivots and Formula/Functions experience preferred;
• Completion or working towards CPA designation is an asset;
• 2+ years of experience, in a similar finance/accounting role;
