Your Role
Zip is looking for a highly motivated, outgoing, and tech-savvy sales intern with strong business acumen to join our Business Development team. As a Business Development Representative Intern, your efforts will help to generate new business for our sales organization. This role requires creativity, resilience, and the ability to partner effectively with sales team members to create new business opportunities.
Joining the Business Development team as an Intern is an opportunity to fast-track your career in sales. Applicants should have a growth mindset and be excited to work collaboratively across the revenue organization. We’re looking for a customer-focused, highly motivated, and driven individual with a desire to grow and advance in a career in sales. If you have a proactive and customer-first mentality, we’d love to talk to you!
This is a paid, part-time internship for 15 hours per week located in our Toronto office. The dates of this 8 week program are September 25 through November 17, 2023.
You Will
  • Partner closely with the revenue team to help identify meetings that lead to pipeline and closed revenue
  • Prospect across a high volume of accounts, with a keen eye on strategically prioritizing your time
  • Research and understand our target industries and personas, and what makes them tick
  • Build a point of view on how to help customers with their needs and the right qualifying questions to ask
Qualifications
  • Interest in having a sales career
  • Previous customer facing experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Results oriented with a strong team player mentality
  • Able to start and be in the office in Toronto on September 25, 2023
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work independently
  • Currently in your senior year of college
  • A track record of going above and beyond
  • Be a strategic thinker and problem solver with a solutions first and adaptable mindset
Nice to Haves
  • Corporate internship experience or proven success in a fast-paced environment
  • Background or coursework in finance or accounting
