Equipment Tester - Ottawa

Position Overview
The Tester is responsible for testing a variety of systems and softwares.
Key Job Responsibilities

• Report issues found into a database
• Design, develop and implement information systems business solutions
• Testing of devices based on Android and iOS, as well as other operating systems
• Perform scenarios for core device functionalities, testing may include objective functionality or subjective usability
• Testing handset software and hardware on live networks in a mobile or stationary LTE, GSM, and/or CDMA environment
• Navigate through equipment to find functionality issues
• Conduct reviews to assess quality assurance practices, software products and information systems
• Use logging tools to collect the data from the field to be analyzed by others
• Conduct carrier acceptance tests on equipment in various form factors (smartphones, data only module, M2M and telematics devices, etc.) and at various points of hardware development cycle
• The tester may be asked to perform specialized testing
• Perform field testing (drive testing) in designated test areas for various operators
• Run test cases based on standards and collect logs, ensure they are based on specs
• Execute and document results of software application tests and information and telecommunication systems tests
• Perform software / hardware testing
• Develop and implement software and information system testing policies and procedures
