About CASA

CASA Mental Health is an established non-profit organization delivering holistic, culturally-safe wrap-around mental health services to Albertans and their families. CASA provides mental health service to the missing middle – mental health treatment for diagnosed children and youth, in between prevention and promotion in primary and community care, and acute treatment in hospital.


CASA’s team of mental health professionals are trauma experts committed to delivering service in collaboration with community partners. This includes assessment and treatment for up to 4,000 children, youth and their families each year, from community outreach settings to intensive treatment programs.


About the Role

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Employee Engagement and Experience Coordinator is responsible for programs and initiatives that positively impact how an employee feels while working for CASA Mental Health. This spans from onboarding to resignation. The Employee Engagement and Experience Coordinator plays an active role in establishing and championing a culture of staff engagement and satisfaction, work-life balance, camaraderie and fun.


The Employee Engagement and Experience Coordinator will:

  • Chair CASA’s Social Engagement Council. This includes providing leadership to members, managing terms of reference, creating an employee engagement action plan, and organizing engaging and memorable events for staff across all sites.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Conduct stay and exit interviews with staff.
  • Provide input into tools used to assess employee engagement and satisfaction throughout the organization.
  • Support implementation of employee engagement survey; review and analyze results.
  • Oversee delivery of CASA 101 orientation every two weeks, booking meeting rooms, confirming attendance, issuing welcome emails, placing catering orders and preparing materials.
  • Develop concrete action plans to address areas of concern based on survey results.

Minimum Salary: $59,000

Maximum Salary: $88,000

Hours per Shift: 7.25

Shifts per Week: Five

Days Off: Saturday and Sunday


Qualifications

  • Designation as a Chartered Professional in Human Resources is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices.
  • Well-developed computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Diploma or degree in human resources or a related field; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Previous experience working in an HR-related position is an asset.
  • Experience with HR systems, such as Ceridian Dayforce, is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Alberta employment and labour laws.
  • Awareness of current and emerging HR trends.
