Job Summary And Requirements
This is a full-time permanent position, working 75 hours bi-weekly .

Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, Corporate Policy and Consumer Affairs, the Director, Corporate Policy, manages a branch responsible for providing policy advice to departmental senior managers, the Minister, and other decision-makers, to develop and attain the department’s strategic goals.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader with strong managerial, policy development, and interpersonal skills to lead a team of dedicated policy professionals in a multi-faceted policy, legislative, and regulatory environment. Our ideal candidate is innovative and self-motivated, and excels at strengthening collaborative working relationships with varied client areas and interdepartmental contacts, and at managing the prioritization and completion of diverse and sensitive projects.

Essential Qualifications
Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the following qualifications:
  • Experience managing human and financial resources;
  • Experience providing recommendations and strategic advice to decision-makers;
  • Experience leading strategic planning and risk assessment.
  • Considerable experience in policy development and legislation;
  • Degree in political science, public administration, business administration, law, or other relevant discipline;
  • Experience managing multiple long range, complex projects with competing deadlines; and

Additional Information
Job Requirements: Willingness to travel throughout Yukon and Canada is a requirement of this position.
