About The Job
Job summary
The Ofsted inspection data summary report (IDSR) is a web-based report showing data for Ofsted inspectors to use when preparing for and during inspection.The IDSR is designed to align with our school inspection handbook , so that areas of interest can be used to identify inspection trails.
The Data and Insight Project Support Officer provides support for external and internal users of the IDSR including interpretation and understanding of the analysis and data, use of functionality, and the administration of users of the IDSR website. The post holder also supports the IDSR and pre-inspection projects and development activities as and when required.

The key responsibilities of the role are outlined below. However, this is an overview of the role and is not exhaustive. Ofsted reserves the right to assign other duties appropriate to the B3 APT grade as required.
  • Administer users of the IDSR, including setting up new user accounts, resetting forgotten passwords and removing accounts for colleagues who have left the organisation.
  • Provide support to end-users and key stakeholders for the IDSR, deal with the many queries received by the IDSR email help desk on a day-to-day basis from inspectors, Local Authorities, schools and other government bodies; ensure all advice given to customers is clear and consistent, and that responses are provided within timescales as defined by the business.
  • Provide project office support as required. This includes organising project meetings, focus groups and minute taking.
  • Work with the IDSR team to develop standard answers for queries received; ensure that customer responses remain accurate and in line with IDSR analyses and developments, and that support and guidance materials are updated accordingly. Provide communications to users alongside releases, ensuring the IDSR News page is up to date.
  • Assist with data quality assurance and testing of website functionality.
  • Ensure data is received from various internal and external teams, tracking the data and escalating when data is not provided on time.
  • Analyse user support queries to identify common themes and to inform efficiencies in the provision of support or developments to the system. This includes the collation and presentation of user support statistics.

Technical Skills

  • Proven written and verbal communication skills, including resolution of issues with dissatisfied customers.
  • Experience of working in a project environment and delivering on time to meet operational targets and objectives.
  • Experience of working with tools such as Excel to present and collate data to meet customer needs, and to ensure quality assurance methods are in place.

Shortlisting:
The selection panel will assess your application based on your evidence you have provided against the essential criteria as set out in the person specification.

Interview:
The most suitable candidates will be invited to attend an interview at 2 Rivergate, Bristol. Please ensure you are available to attend on the week commencing on Monday 26 June 2023.
