What You'll Do

GTM Strategy & Revenue Operations (GRO) team has a simple yet powerful charter. First, to streamline and align all the GTM efforts inside Cisco into one unified approach to our customers, partners and employees. Second, to drive profitable, accretive growth for Cisco. We work closely with Sales and Marketing Leadership Team (SMLT) to identify the most critical GTM opportunities for the business, align resources and investments, design streamlined processes and drive execution. We are strategic leaders who are passionate about market strategy, scale, and innovation.

The data analyst role is a highly visible, strategic position, working with diverse cross-functional teams across Theatre Sales, Marketing, Industry Solutions, and other internal data stewards. This highly collaborative position will help drive strategic projects that are either oriented towards specific segment growth such as the Public Sector or cross segment initiatives that will drive incremental growth by orchestrating the activities of cross-functional Cisco and sales resources.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for gaining a deep understanding of Cisco's business and utilizing that knowledge to provide valuable insights through data visualization, storytelling, and analytics. You will be tasked with tackling complex problems and utilizing predictive analytics to uncover opportunities for sales growth. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with resources across multiple regions and can effectively communicate data insights to leaders across various functions. You will serve as the team's go-to person for all data-related matters. This role presents an excellent opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of Cisco's business and have a significant impact on its growth and direction.

Critical skills required:

• The ideal candidate for this position should possess 3 to 5 years of relevant industry experience and a Bachelor's degree in engineering or management. A Master's degree in management is preferred
• Proficient in business and analytical skills and capable of comprehending business requirements
• Adaptability to work with various internal tools, a proven track record in driving execution-focused results to the highest degree of quality and on time, and a passionate communicator, analytics storyteller, and collaborator who utilizes results and data to inform decisions
• Familiarity with the Cisco data landscape and Cisco technology and sales terminology is a big plus
• Ability to identify whitespace from analysis of sales and market share performance data to inform how to grow our businesses. Familiarity with Tableau and MS Excel is required, and the candidate should be able to present results proficiently using MS PowerPoint
• Resourcefulness to devise creative solutions to problems, ability to effectively communicate and influence key stakeholders to support proposed strategies, process improvements, and operational decisions, and can work with large data sets
• Certification in Tableau, Snowflake, or Data Engineering tools is also a plus
• Capable of generating reports using various data sources and can uncover trends and insights beyond the data
