Job Title: Construction Superintendent
Job Location: Toronto, ON or Vancouver, BC OR Willing to be a Traveling Superintendent
Salary: $90k-$120k/yr
Benefits: Health/Dental Benefits, Performance Bonuses, PTO, 401K
Requirements: At least 5 years of experience as a Superintendent working for a General Contractor, Retail experience (Stores, Restaurants, Big Box, Shopping centers, etc.), Commercial experience, Multi-Residential/Multi-family experience (nice to have), Ability to travel nationwide for projects (preferred, but not required)
We are an established General Contractor out of Montreal that's rapidly growing and to hire more construction professionals to keep up with our project pipeline. Our specialties are in Retail and commercial construction and have projects nationwide. We currently have a ton of projects in the Toronto and Vancouver area and need Supers based there and Supers who are willing to travel nationwide for projects.

What You Will Be Doing

• Ensure that a clean site is maintained
• Ensuring that both material and wage budgets and schedules are maintained and followed
• Organizing the daily subcontractor workforce for performance as required and safety
• Write and maintain complete, timely and accurate project status reports with photos for overall project management
• Being on site daily to oversee the project construction activities
• Liaise with government inspectors regarding licensing, safety and conformance with standards
• Ensuring that both health and safety protocols are followed
• Ensure that quality of work and materials is maintained throughout the project

What You Need for this Position

• Office experience.
• Commercial construction project experience.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent working for a General Contractor in Canada.
• Tenant Improvement
• Retail experience.
• Restaurants (nice to have)
• Big box (very nice to have)
