Compliance Coordinator, Enterprise Risk (Cpl - 086)

Position Overview

The primary responsibilities of this role are to support the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer (“CRO”). The Compliance Coordinator should have excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and good communication skills with the ability to address various audiences, including Senior Management, the Advisor teams and various committees. They should also have a general understanding of relevant laws and regulations and be able to work effectively with other departments to support the activities of enterprise risk and specifically their staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support special projects/initiatives
• Work with other teams to support compliance related issues
• Effectively communicate with Senior Management and Executives
• Manage executive calendaring and scheduling
• Processing expense reports
• Maintain records, diarize and ensure events occur in a timely manner
• Act as primary point of contact between executive(s) and internal stakeholders
• Liaise and provide assistance with key stakeholders such as the Enterprise Risk senior management, other Head Office teams and the Advisor teams on compliance related issues
• Support the CRO management activities and operations which
• Complete other projects as assigned
• Prepare and format reports for management and various committees

Qualifications

• Aspirations to move into a core risk, compliance, project management, credit role or other progressive opportunities in the firm as early as 2 year into role
• Ability to educate, influence, negotiate and work independently and within a larger team
• A team player, leader, independent thinker and business minded
• Self-motivated and interested in ongoing learning and professional development
• Sound judgment and integrity
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Service oriented with an ability to remain professional under pressure
• Excellent written and oral skills
• Ability to think and act proactively

Education

• Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) an asset
• University degree or college diploma
• Completion of the Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) an asset
