Communications Advisor Jobs

Altis Recruitment is seeking a Communications Advisor to join our client, one of the largest professional associations in Canada, on a contract-to-perm basis. Reporting to the Director Communications, the successful incumbent will play a crucial role in supporting the department with strategic communication planning, developing collateral and managing the organization's social media platforms.

*This role is a hybrid work model, 2 days a week in office.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Strategic Communication Planning: You support the department by contributing to the development of strategic communication plans. This involves analyzing the organization's goals and objectives and formulating communication strategies that align with these goals.
• Communication Response and Planning: You develop communication plans that outline recommended responses, strategies, and action plans for various situations. These plans ensure that the organization can effectively address communication challenges and opportunities as they arise.
• Content Creation and Key Messaging: You create compelling and engaging content for different channels and platforms. This includes crafting key messages that effectively communicate the value and benefits of the organization's target audiences.
• Change Management Communication: You assist in planning, developing, executing, and monitoring communication plans related to organizational changes. This involves effectively communicating changes to internal stakeholders, ensuring their understanding and support throughout the process.
• Brand Campaigns: You design and implement campaigns that aim to promote and grow the brand and prospective clients. These campaigns may include targeted marketing efforts, advertising initiatives, and social media strategies.
• Trusted Advisor: You serve as a trusted advisor to management and internal clients. This entails providing expert guidance and recommendations on communication strategies, tactics, and best practices. You establish and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment with organizational objectives.

Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to collaborate with multiple teams/stakeholders with confidence.
• Excellent written, reading and oral communications skills.
• 3-5 years of Communications experience.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate the complexities of communication in a corporate environment.

Education

• Degree/Diploma: Communications and/or Public Relations and/or Journalism
