CAPP is seeking an Advisor, Communications. This is a full-time permanent position located in Calgary, Alberta and reports to the Director, Communications.
Position Summary
The Advisor, Communications is a key member of the communications team and will be responsible for content development and writing, managing CAPP’s editorial calendar, delivery and implementation of technical and creative content, project management and overall support to the communications team.
Job Requirements
- Develop and execute content to elevate the organization’s reputation and brand both locally and across Canada
- Pro-actively collaborate with stakeholders to develop content, messaging and action plans to showcase the benefits of Canadian oil and natural gas
- Work collaboratively across the organization to identify and execute on opportunities for content about Canada’s upstream oil and gas sector
- Work with internal stakeholders and manage all internal communications to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Work closely with the Senior Advisor, Digital Content to create content which bolster CAPP’s online presence
- Manage CAPP’s presence by supporting special projects and major external corporate campaigns
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong relationship building and facilitative skills; time and project management skills; the ability to multi-task and work in a high pace environment
- Must be eligible to work in Canada legally
- A minimum of five years’ work experience in a communications function, either corporately or with an agency. Experience with media relations, or digital and social media marketing is an asset.
- Post-secondary education; preferably a diploma or degree in communications or related field
- Strong knowledge of the oil and gas industry and its operations provincially and throughout Canada and a minimum of three years’ work experience in oil and gas
- Strong writing and communication skills
