Minimum seven (7) years experience in public relations or journalism

Experience in media relations, community relations and government relations

Demonstrated creativity and design skill

University Degree in Journalism (preferred) or University Degree and a Certificate/Diploma in Public Relations or Communications

Demonstrated maturity and excellence in communication, team building, interpersonal communication and the ability to initiate and model positive change

Professional experience in social media management would be considered an asset.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple competing and changing priorities.

Experience in a client service role.

Experience in providing communications or strategic advice.

The above experience within a government setting would be considered an asset.

Completion of post-secondary education in communications or a related field is an asset.

Work with internal stakeholders and manage all internal communications to ensure consistency and accuracy

Manage CAPP’s presence by supporting special projects and major external corporate campaigns

Pro-actively collaborate with stakeholders to develop content, messaging and action plans to showcase the benefits of Canadian oil and natural gas

Post-secondary education; preferably a diploma or degree in communications or related field

Strong writing and communication skills

A self-starter who takes initiative with minimal supervision and has excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills

Degree from a Communications/Public Relations Program, or equivalent combination, diploma and related experience.

Experience developing, implementing and measuring communication plans.

Proven interpersonal skills to develop strong relationships with internal business partners and communications counterparts at various external organizations and stakeholder groups.

Proven adaptability and flexibility including ability to manage a high volume of work, deadline pressures and last-minute changes.

Effective leadership, decision making and communication skills.

Act as a trusted communications advisor, anticipating business partners’ communications needs.
