Citi Global Sourcing’s Net Zero Program Lead Responsibilities:

• Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report
• Analyze and track supplier GHG data, targets, roadmaps and solutions to enable trends identification, projections and decision-making. Manage and track data and KPIs for the net zero supplier engagement program.
• Update and continue to refine Citi’s Statement of Supplier Principles to support sustainability and net zero objectives.
• Effectively communicate program progress internally and problem solve roadblocks.
• Develop programs to incorporate net zero principles into supplier management practices through an ongoing program of evaluating/prioritizing suppliers, identifying opportunities/barriers to emissions reductions, and calculating emission for inclusion in annual public disclosures.
• Work with Citi’s wider Net Zero Program Stakeholders in developing proposals related to corporate GHG accounting and future reporting requirements & practices.
• Advance Supply Engagement program through strategy development and implementation processes. Drive engagement strategies with selected suppliers and internal stakeholders on GHG emission reduction.
• Publicly disclose corporate-level emissions
• Partner with cross functional teams to support the development and execution of new and existing GHG reduction initiatives.
• Develop scalable Net Zero relevant processes within the business and sourcing teams to enable action and decision making internally.
• Support Corporate wide reporting for
• Develop and provide good/service-level emissions data
• Lead transition from proxy industry-based scope 3 emissions to primary supplier-based emissions and in the future to good/service-level emissions factors to enhance Citi’s ability to make stronger informed emission decisions when sourcing products and services.
• Work with Net Zero Operations to support Citi’s scope 3 GHG reporting requirements and working towards reduction objectives.
• External Public Disclosure Non-Governmental Organization(s) (NGO) for e.g. CDP reporting
• Build, develop and lead Citi Global Sourcing’s Net Zero Program with our supply chain, focused on achieving Citi’s Net Zero Operations goal by 2030.
• Work with Citi’s Supply Chain to constructively encourage suppliers to:
• Champion communication plans with Program Stakeholders both internal and external to Citi to convey program goals and objectives.
• Taskforce on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) Report
• Actively demonstrate thought leadership through e.g. presenting on webinars and participating in leading forums.
• Work closely with Citi Global Sourcing Leadership, Sourcing Teams, Net Zero Operations and supplier stakeholders across the company to work towards our collective goal.
• Engage with the global expert community to continue to advance Citi Global Sourcing’s Net Zero Program and to evolve and align to industry best practices in meeting our objective.
• Set corporate-level science-based reduction targets aligned to a 1.5°C pathway

Minimum Qualifications:

• Strong and effective communications skills.
• Analytical capabilities and experience managing complex data, advanced Excel and data analytics proficiency.
• Project management skills with demonstrated experience to self-manage complex delivery in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams (e.g. Sustainability, Sourcing/Procurement, Business, Engineering) and managing relationships with complex stakeholders.
• A self starter, with a proven experience to diplomatically resolve issues through understanding conflicting inputs, achieving alignment, and proposing go-forward solutions.
• 10+ years of related experience in fields related to sustainability.
• Demonstrate flexibility, experience and willingness to learn and champion projects.
• A team player and strategic thinker who can ideate and help us scale initiatives that accelerate scope 3 GHG emission reductions with suppliers.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in environmental science, business or related field.
• Expertise in GHG accounting, GHG Accounting platforms, GHG target setting, Roadmap development, engaging with suppliers and decarbonization solutions.
• Industry experience with corporate programs to manage and reduce scope 3 GHG emissions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in related field (e.g. MBA, Master’s in Sustainability Management, Environmental science)
• GHG software and tools operation experience.
• Reporting proficiency with tools e.g. Tableau
