We are currently seeking an experienced, dedicated, and visionary Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in strategic planning and operational efficiency, with a strong understanding of the unique needs and challenges of international students.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cultivate positive relationships with key partners, stakeholders, and international student communities.
- Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth, overseeing all operations and business activities to ensure they align with the institution's strategic objectives.
- Oversee the operational team's productivity and foster a result-oriented, inclusive culture that aligns with the institution's values.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian and local business regulations, along with the specific regulations related to international student education.
- Participate actively in business development and expansion activities, such as new program development, corporate alliances, and partnerships.
- Lead and implement Hanson College's competitive advancement strategy and continuous improvement efforts; Analyze internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement.
- Develop and implement operational policies and a strategic plan that aligns with Hanson College's mission and the guidance of the President and CEO.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the President and CEO.
- Monitor performance with tracking and establish corrective measures as needed, preparing detailed reports for the President and CEO.
Education and Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in an operational leadership role, ideally within the education sector and with a focus on international students.
- Strong understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, and Marketing.
- Demonstrated experience in developing strategic plans and overseeing their successful execution.
- In-depth knowledge of the Canadian education system and the specific needs of international students.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field; an MBA or similar advanced degree is preferred.
