POSITION OVERVIEW


Support the Category Management Team in achieving category strategic direction, vendor management and finance, assortment and merchandising.


The role also involves general administrative duties, preparing reports, assisting with special projects, as needed.


Responsibilities


  • Assist in the support, maintenance and updating of the price book ERP system as required.
  • Work with Category Team to manage and distribute Weekly Category Memo to stores.
  • Provide support to the Category Team during rollout of ERP system upgrades.
  • Create and manage vendor billings for the Category Team. Liaise with Finance department to ensure vendor accounts are maintained accurately.
  • General administrative responsibilities including preparation of correspondence, reports and spreadsheets.
  • Maintain Planogram process from scheduling to data population, and support Category Team with execution and rollout to stores.


Requirements


EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE


  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Completion of a certificate/diploma program in Office Administration/Accounting.
  • Able to plan, execute and juggle multiple projects and priorities successfully.
  • Able to communicate effectively in both official languages, both verbal and written.
  • Previous experience leading projects.
  • 2+ years experience providing administrative support to a team is required.
  • Must be highly competent in the use of Microsoft suite of software, able to draft correspondence, create reports and spreadsheets, including formulas and analysis of the data.
  • Strong technical skills.


Other


  • While based in Ottawa, Ontario, this position requires occasional travel to various operator locations.
  • Requires valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
