Goodness Me! is currently seeking an experienced, full-time Category Manager (Dairy, Meat, Cheese) for our Central Office Team.
Your Day-to-day
In this role, you will manage the Meat, Cheese, and Dairy categories, maximizing sales and profitability through negotiation, merchandising and product selection, and continue to have best-in-class relationships with our vendor and store partners.
Other Duties And Tasks May Include

• Execute category plans by delivering against the category pricing, promotion assortment and merchandising plans that support strategies and financial objectives
• Perform all vendor cost, program, and contract negotiations
• Manage product assortment to achieve financial and customer experience performance targets
• Other duties as assigned
• Identify and monitor competition (including price checks)
• Build vendor relationships to enable effective negotiations
• Collaborate with other departments to address in-stock inventory
• Develop category plans inclusive of emerging segments and products to maintain the industry’s most relevant assortment
• Support in-store merchandising and the development of SOP’s and various programs
• Responsible for all promotional activities, manage flyer penetration, promotional profitability
• Support the day-to-day functions of the store-level departments

What You Bring

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Operations experience is an asset
• 3-5 years of category management in consumer goods or relatable experience
• 1-2 years experience working with ERP preferred
• Strong negotiation skills
• Ability to prioritize, multitask and manage multiple projects with a broad workload

80% Remote; 20% On-site as required
