The Associate Product Manager (APM), Urology is responsible for managing product segments within the Urology product portfolios. The Associate Product Manager is responsible for providing the tools and resources necessary to drive the marketing activities for select product lines and supporting the products in Urology across all major deliverables and strategic initiatives. This includes but is not limited to building marketing programs for current and newly launched products, analysing program performance, developing promotional programs, developing strategies for product lifecycle management, and understanding competitive activities. This role manages pricing, annual target price review and ensuring we drive growth in revenue and GPM in theses business segments. This APM will work closely with our US colleagues as well as global colleagues. This role will also involve management of HCP stakeholders via onsite visits, tradeshow meetings and specific events.
Job Duties
  • Bring value to the sales team and customers through expertise in contract portfolio and related market trends.
  • Develop marketing collateral as necessary to support product launches, tradeshows, promotions etc.
  • Plans should address product positioning, promotion pricing, targeting, collateral development, development of value proposition for products, market analysis. Provide direction to Operations, Finance and Sales functions for existing product lifecycle management as well as strategy and execution for new product launches.
  • Develop and implement the business plan for assigned product lines including marketing strategies tactics sales goals expenses and resources required to achieve the goal.
  • Track the effectiveness of implemented marketing plans, and u pdate the plans as required.
  • Engage in field travel with sales team to build relationships with field staff and key customers.
  • Develop and execute plans to successfully launch new products into the Canadian market.
  • Perform other related duties as directed.
  • Develop competitive positioning strategies and tactics.
  • Develop customer and rep incentive programs to drive sales/unit growth and engage both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Create actionable plans to improve product attachment rates to Strategize with sales teams on GPO strategies and help with RFP responses for major national GPOs.
Job Qualifications
Required:
  • Ability to travel; 25-30% - must have a valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant Diploma in related field (e.g. Life sciences medical technology marketing) or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years in a Marketing role of technically advanced product in complex market(s), medical device and/or OR sales experience of minimum of 1-3 years.
Preferred:
  • Ability to work in multi-cultural cross-functional groups.
  • High degree of personal organization.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Medical device sales experience is a strong asset.
