Otis Canada, Inc. is searching for a highly motivated Associate Director of Field Operations to provide direction, support, and leadership for New Equipment field operations for the Canadian Region.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction to regional field operations staff and participate in large bids
• Responsible for the quality of all new installations for the Canadian region
• Investigate and resolve all critical customer issues with the use of Otis and non-Otis products
• Provide on-going training, development, and leadership to new equipment field managers & employees
• Proactively aid the region in achieving New Equipment PTE targets and improve installation efficiencies / days per stop metrics
• Consult with construction superintendents, constructors, adjusters, and field managers regarding problems encountered with product performance
• Proactively aid the region in regard to the malfunctioning of equipment
• Oversee safety and EH&S programs while creating and promoting a safety culture for New Equipment operations
• Assess patterns of complaints and determine solutions to ensure projects are completed to satisfaction and within reasonable timeframe
• Host and manage NE major project calls (MPR) across the region on a regular cadence
• Report and present on recommendations for all product designs and performance requirements

Education / Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred

Basic Qualifications

• Ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment
• Experience working with field level associates required
• Leadership experience required
• Candidate must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers
• Strong leadership skills, goal-orientated, and self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills
• Needs to be self-motivated and able to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities
• Successful candidate should be very comfortable in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft based computer software

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years elevator industry experience or experience leading technicians in a similar industry preferred
