Overview:
The Alberta Employment First Network (AEFN) works collaboratively to improve employment outcomes for / with people with disabilities, build member capacity, engage employers across Alberta and support policymakers in informed decision-making regarding employment inclusion.
This position coordinates and ensures the delivery of the activities outlined in the Alberta Workforce Inclusion Network (A-WIN) Agreement with CSS. The Director oversees and participates in the project, ensuring that outcomes are met, and evaluation mechanisms are effectively implemented. This position is responsible for coordinating advisory committee meetings as well as the engagement of project partners, employer associations, and service providers. Additionally, this position is responsible for the ongoing development and envision of AEFN. Supervision and key performance indicators will be discussed in the interview.
Project reporting, administratio n, and managing budget disbursement is a key responsibility. Identifying opportunities to connect employers, and service providers (and the job seekers they represent) is a significant and ongoing element of this outcomes-based position.
The position is available for candidates residing in Calgary, Edmonton, or surrounding areas (e.g. Sherwood Park, Airdrie, St. Albert, Okotoks, etc.).
Description:
- Engage business networks to promote/develop AEFN events, services and supports
- Coordinate AEFN engagement to identify priorities, activities and project alignment
- Engage and coordinate with partners (GEDI-Hub, Regional Networks) to deliver the project
- Related administrative tasks: file keeping, information distribution, team meetings, etc.
- Engage disability employment service providers / increase AEFN membership
- Help Coordinate/Promote Disability Employment Awareness Month (July-Oct)
Direct Duties: Employer Engagement
- Promote / broker ‘Workplace Inclusion Partnerships’ (employers / service providers)
- Oversee Marketing and Communications regarding messaging and project alignment
- Consult with business/HR networks to align their priorities with AEFN events
- Connect employers to Workplace Equity, Diversity and Inclusion resources
Direct Duties: Service Provider Engagement
- Connect with service providers and help build AEFN membership
- Ensure delivery of service provider capacity-building learning sessions (min 6 / year)
- Develop learning session schedule of events in collaboration with partners
- Verbal and written communications with stakeholders

This position requires multiple skill-sets and familiarity with the Disability Employment Inclusion Sector. The ideal candidate should enjoy connecting and developing rapport with a variety of people/groups. High-level collaboration, communication and coordination skills are essential. Promoting and supporting employment accessibility and inclusive workplaces should be a genuine passion.

Our Value Proposition

- Salary Range: $66,000.00 - $72,000.00 Annually
- 12 vacation days, 7 Personal days, 12 paid holidays and a flexible, family-friendly schedule
