The HR programs team is responsible for the development, implementation, and support of numerous Human Resource programs for PCL.
We are seeking an HR Programs Student for our North American Headquarters (Edmonton, AB) who is available for 4 months starting in September 2023.
As an HR Programs Student and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:
Responsibilities

• Assists in other HR programs and project management tasks as required.
• Fosters student engagement through the management of our student blog, student vlog and student yammer community.
• Supports the team through preparation for daily events and follow-up actions (e.g., scheduling and coordinating meetings, setting up for events, maintaining action lists and reminders, and meeting preparation).
• Assists the team to deliver high-quality programs in the areas of talent acquisition strategies, career management, employee engagement.
• Composes and prepares confidential correspondence, reports, analytics and research on current industry practices.

Qualifications

• Ability to maintain confidentiality required of work assignments and is independent and resourceful to accomplish day- to-day tasks and assignments.
• Pursuing a degree or diploma with a Human Resources, Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Management, Marketing & Communications or similar focus.
• Must have excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Must be proactive in terms of anticipating needs and follow-up items for the project team.
• Must have excellent verbal, written, and grammatical skills.
• Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities under tight deadlines, while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
• Proficient in Microsoft office products such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
