Job Description
Overview:


The general scope of the position includes but is not limited to; managing the budgeting; financial reporting and tracking of the business; assisting the Director with purchasing/buying; coordination of business transactions with suppliers and our finance department; internal auditing; and assisting with hiring, training and records to ensure the Division remains compliant with the laws and rules of the province of Ontario.


How You'll Make A Difference:


  • Assist Manager with receiving, tracking, price/marking and paperwork for the assigned area
  • Oversees seasonal hiring, training and development while ensuring all assigned tasks are executed effectively
  • Assist Manager with all aspects of the warehouse receiving and documentation of incoming products. Ensure receiving matches orders/PO’s and pricing of items is completed properly
  • Assist with inventory management
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, holidays and evenings is essential
  • Assist with the development of department policies and procedures to maintain excellence in service and quality and to ensure proper controls
  • Coordinate with inter-department partners to ensure all administration assigned is completed and documented appropriately.
  • Monitor seasonal labour by effectively executing availability, staff schedules and schedule changes as needed
  • Assist with operating location as business demands while coaching staff by sharing information to ensure associates meets expectations
  • Ensures proper maintenance and cleaning of work and maintenance of assigned workspace and equipment


We're Looking For:


  • Prior experience hiring, training and development of employees
  • Must have strong judgment and be an innovative problem solver
  • Proven ability to oversee receiving and related administration
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Proven abilities successfully oversee high volume administration role
  • Post-Secondary education in related field or equivalent experience supervising/merchandising in a multi-faceted retail operation
  • Knowledge of internal controls, processes and procedures
  • Proven ability to problem-solve, work with strict deadlines and work independently
  • Computer literate with strong excel skills
  • Experience with data analysis a definite asset
