Job Description

Title: QA Tester - Games

Location: Remote (must reside in Pacific time zone)

Starting: 08/21/2023 or ASAP

Duration: 5 months with possibility to extend

Pay Rate: $30 - $40 hourly

Hours: Full-time


Our client, a prominent player in the video game industry, is looking for an experienced QA Tester to join their team to create and execute test cases for new games in development.



Responsibilities:

  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, coordinate testing activities and provide QA approval reports at the time of release.
  • Create test cases for the projects assigned and execute them.
  • Implement best practices including a variety of different testing protocols, tools and device test matrices to ensure quality standards are met.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in a professional services or game studio environment working and responsible for validating Mobile Games on Android devices.
  • Previous experience with Unity, knowledge of gaming and gaming industry
  • Demonstrable experience leading a team of Quality Analysts on a project. Strong knowledge of various software QA methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with capturing performance metrics. Knowledge or experience with the Unity profiler is a plus.
  • Experience using tools like JIRA, Confluence, Unity Engine, TestRail, Jenkins, GitHub, and validating various tech stacks.



The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $30/hr - $40/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
