As a Software Engineer, you will help build out Dematic’s Test Emulation and Automation Testing Framework. Additionally, you will aid in testing software applications using this framework, create test coverage reporting, develop automated software test suits using various off the shelf technologies and create add-on tools where appropriate.

Summary: 
Do you want to be a part of a collaborative Scrum team within our Software Development group, creating the best-in-class global software testing platform? We are seeking a mid-level Software Engineer.
 
As a Software Engineer, you will help build out Dematic’s Test Emulation and Automation Testing Framework. Additionally, you will aid in testing software applications using this framework, create test coverage reporting, develop automated software test suits using various off the shelf technologies and create add-on tools where appropriate.

Core Job Responsibilities:

• Investigate and recommend automated test approaches for testing software applications and feature additions.
• Peer code review developed software test automation packages.
• Participate in design reviews.
• Review automated test results to ensure functional and technical requirements have been tested, and defects are documented.
• Review functional and technical requirements as well as existing test plans to identify candidates for test automation and to implement necessary test cases.
• Design, build, support, and maintain global automated test frameworks and tools.
• Learn and apply new tools, technologies, and industry best practices as it applies to test automation.
• Work within Agile (Scrum) environments to plan and deliver product incrementally.
• Identify methods to automate software verification.
• Execute automated test plans to ensure products meet the defined requirements for usability and performance and create test reports detailing the results.
• Test developed software modules and solutions using simulation/VR software.

• Strong analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with material handling solutions, specifically testing the solutions.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
• Self-driven individual who takes initiative / responsibilities towards assigned tasks.
• Ability to brainstorm and generate ideas quickly.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks.

• Experience with manual and automated software validation methodologies.
• A commitment to engineering excellence.
• Strong technical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience writing, executing, and monitoring tests for VR / SCADA type technologies.
• Experience writing, executing and monitoring automated test-suites for both backend and UIs, using a variety of tools including, but not limited to, TestRail, Cucumber, Selenium, Zephyr.

 Technical Knowledge And Skills

• Apache Maven, git, GitLab, JIRA, Confluence, Artifactory, Jenkins
• Experience with JPA/SQL Server 2016.
• Experience with Unity/C#/.NET/Visual Studio
• OS: Windows Server 2016/2019
• Experience with Cloud skills in either Azure or Google Cloud
• Experience with Web Server (Wildfly, Tomcat, etc).
• The following technical knowledge and skills are a plus:
• Experience with Web Services (REST), Socket Programming.
• IntelliJ IDEA.
• Experience with JUnit and TestNG testing frameworks.
• Knowledge/understanding of microservice, docker, Kubernetes
• Java (Standard and Enterprise a plus).

• Ability to travel 5% - 10%.
• 5+ years of software QA experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
