Role: Application Support Analyst
Location: Remote/Canada
Term: June 5th, 2023 to October 31st, 2023 (with a five [5] month possible extension)

Detailed Requirements:
The individual will be assigned tasks and responsibilities including, but not limited to:
Flexible, organized and quick to learn in order to independently prioritize and organize own workload to meet tight deadlines and successfully complete projects in a changing environment;
Researching and analyzing issues with existing applications and/or transactions;
Assist with planning and implementations of new applications and technology changes or upgrades in a complex, integrated environment;
Assessing, monitoring, sustaining and/or optimizing the performance of large scale customized, off the shelf and custom-developed applications, interfaces and associated environments;
Liaise and collaborate with other eHealth teams and stakeholders;
Maintaining and upgrading system code for eHealth and Ministry of Health (MoH) regional/provincial point-of-service applications, and services.
Qualifications
The incumbents will possess the following qualifications, with preference given to those with the skills and knowledge listed as preferences and assets:
ASP (classic and .net); VB (2005 and .Net), NET (framework and core) application development; SSIS Packages and Stored Procedures; VS (2005-2019); and IIS, Citrix/ XenApp application delivery;
Providing technical support for integrated enterprise scaled systems is required, a Healthcare setting is preferred.
Trouble-shooting and resolving incidents;
Proven experience and skills in effective communication, problem solving, documentation standards and a rigor for change management protocols and quality control are also required;
Specifically, You Will Have Demonstrated Working Knowledge Of
Programming concepts, techniques and languages;
Code reviews and revision control;
Database concepts, theories and principles, experience in writing SQL;
Requirement analysis, solution design techniques, experience with unit testing;
Service-level protocols, change management protocols, and quality control procedures;
Knowledge of problem diagnosis, and researching techniques, as well as understanding the language in technical documents;
Knowledge of computer systems design, development and configuration including supporting relational database applications;
Understanding of ITIL best practices including Application Life Cycle Management, Change Management and Service Delivery Management;
The knowledge and skills required for this position would be attained through the completion of a Degree in Computer Science, or related area of study; Applicants with a Diploma such as Computer Information Systems or related area of study with equivalent combination of experience and education. Three (3) or more years of experience as an Application Support Analyst working with integrated, enterprise-scaled systems in a healthcare or similar setting.
