Analyst, Risk Management - Real Estate

Overview Of The Role

The incumbent will be a key resource to the Risk Management team. As part of your duties, you will be responsible for supporting the risk management team by realizing property risk control analysis and help integrate risk control strategies and tools towards our operations in Canada, the United States, Australia, Argentina and the UK. Your tasks will mainly include:

How You Will Make Contributions That Matter:

• Identify property and site security risks through performing internal risk assessments
• Implement corporate standards via tools and programs into our facilities such as SIP (self inspection program), HWP (hot work program) and others
• Perform on-site audits to validate mitigation processes and propose risk control options and solutions
• Track and update on a regular basis the advancement and resolution of the identified gaps
• Regularly visits of our operation sites to learn and understand the risks and exposures
• Support/assist the plants and the ‘’Specialists Property and site security risks’’ to resolve the identified property deficiencies and recommendations
• Assist and support annual insurance visits and/or appraisal valuations
• Analyze the risks and prioritize them following internal guideline
• Perform any other related risk duties
• Train, coach and develop site personnel on our risk control framework and programs to achieve continuous improvement in risk mitigation.
• Document and investigate risk related incidents (fires, sprinkler failures, etc.) to prevent future occurrences
• Engage, build, and maintain good communication/relationships with all involved stakeholders (internally and externally) to assure direction and mutual support

You Are Best Suited for The Role If You Have the Following Qualifications:

• Possess relevant experience and/or knowledge in building mechanic and risk control systems such as sprinkler systems, fire detection systems, access control and alarm/intrusion systems and ammonia refrigeration systems
• Organized, self-motivating and resourceful
• Fluency in spoken and written English and French
• Good knowledge of Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to manage deadlines and juggle several files/projects
• Initiative, good judgment, attention to detail, self-disciplined and ability to work under pressure
• Like to travel - approx. 30% annually (12 trips per year)
• Dairy industry or other manufacturing experience is desirable
• Hold a college technical diploma, bachelor’s degree or certification in a related field
• Ability to receive delegated work and assist other team members in a positive manner
