Real Estate Accounts Payable Technician

Hays has partnered with an established and growing local real estate developer and property manager in the recruitment for the role of Accounts Payable Technician. The Accounts Payables Technician will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process for their real estate portfolio. This includes processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and providing support to the accounting team.

Your new role

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the accounts payable aging report and follow up on past due balances
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Provide support to the accounting team as needed
• Process invoices for payment accurately and timely
• Communicate with vendors to resolve issues and answer questions
• Assist with year-end audit preparation
• Perform account analysis and assist with month-end closing

What you'll need to succeed

Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate accounts payable
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Experience with accounting software such as Yardi, MRI, Hopem, or Space
