The focus for the Education Programs Division is supporting a high-quality education system in B.C. The current focus of the education system is the movement to increasingly personalized learning, which is enabled and supported by quality teaching and learning, flexibility and choice, and high standards. This includes the redesign of: provincial curriculum, assessment, reporting, and graduation requirements, and a targeted focus on training for high-demand jobs in line with the BC Labour Market Outlook. Large and multi-faceted, transforming Education's core business affects every student, parent, teacher, administrator and Education partner organization in the province.


This position works for the Strategic Policy and IntegrationBranch - Careers Programs & Policy. It will coordinate and lead the research, analysis, consultation, development, implementation, and monitoring of strategic policies for significant ministry programs, (e.g., Career Programs, Trades Training with the Industry Training Authority, Technology and Coding). The position is also responsible to provide advice for the transformations of careers programs and policies.


Job Requirements


  • Degree in business administration, public administration, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 Years experience researching policy issues and conducting policy analysis.
  • Minimum 2 Years experience managing projects and/or project components.


Preference May Be Given To Applicants With


  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams)

About This Position


There is one (1) permanent full time position available.


Flexible work options are available, this position may be able to work up to 4 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement. Victoria has two building locations, both with space to accommodate in-office work.
