Preference may be given to candidates who have IC5, Strike Team Leader or equivalent fireline certification.

A minimum of 1 year of recent* experience as an Assistant Manager or Supervisor of a customer-facing, service environment.

Degree, diploma or certificate in business or retail management or successful completion of a supervisory/leadership course.

Experience must include direct accountability for achieving and driving sales.

Experience working in a retail or hospitality environment.

Experience in an environment with annual sales in excess of $1 million.

Experience with visual presentation standards and KPIs.

Minimum of three (3) years experience in a warehouse environment.

Experience working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

WCB Forklift Operator Certificate and experience with materials handling equipment.

More than one (1) year experience supervising others.

Secondary school graduation or equivalent (e.g. GED).

Preference May Be Given To Applicants With

Completion of training in contract and procurement management.

A minimum of one (1) year administrative, or secretarial experience.

Experience using manual and electronic filing systems, preparing and managing files and documents.

A minimum of two (2) years of administrative, or secretarial experience.

Experience or training with ARCS/ORCS and TRIM or EDRMS.

Experience in contract administration in a public sector environment.

Two (2) years' experience supervising technical and/or administrative staff; OR

Master's degree in agriculture, Business or Economics; AND

One or more years related experience working in natural resource management

Experience performing technical duties and working with key statutes that support natural resource management

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Diploma in a Natural Resource field

Valid Class 5 B.C. driver's licence or equivalent

Meet safety standards of Work Safe BC

1 or more years experience working in an office setting; AND

1 or more years experience working with computerized systems.

Training or experience in basic accounting or bookkeeping

Training or experience in accounts payable

To be flexible regarding ongoing changes in responsibilities, assignments and corporate structures.

Cannabis knowledge, demonstrated through experience in the cannabis industry or courses from an accredited post-secondary institution.

One year of retail experience* in a retail sales environment in the last five years and completed supervisory courses.

Retail experience involves provision of excellent customer service and a positive contribution to the presentation standards of the retail environment.

Experience working in a government or regulatory environment.

Experience working in a unionized environment.

Valid BC Scaling Licence with valid Interior Grading Endorsement

Must be willing to wear a uniform representing the Scaling program and the Ministry as required. (Under review)

Must be willing and able to work in adverse weather conditions including driving in winter conditions.

Must be willing and able to operate a variety of equipment including quads, electronic equipment, and accompanying computer applications.
