Job Description

Our client operating within the high-end construction business is seeking an adaptable and keen part time Administrative Assistant to join their amazing team. Working collaboratively the successful hire must be able to take on direction and step up where support is needed, effectively and efficiently.


The right candidate for this role must be able to multitask and offer stellar support to multiple departments in the company, while always maintaining professionalism and exceptional customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:


The key job functions are:

  • Provide support to the accounting team with accounts payable and accounts receivables duties
  • Be an advocate in upholding the Mission, Philosophy, and Values of the company
  • Provide reception coverage support by attending to all incoming calls in a timely manner
  • Carry out other tasks assigned by the Senior Administrator, Trades Payable Controller, and the Estimating Manager
  • Exhibit confidentiality in all company related matters including information on owners, employees, clients, vendors, and compensations
  • Provide support to the Production/Service Coordinators and Estimators in relation to the full scope of their duties
  • Maintain exceptional client relationships by assisting clients, homeowners, operations team, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Establish proper and accurate company documentation


Education:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration or Construction Management (asset)


Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in all MS Office applications
  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience


Experience:

  • Experience working in industrial, builders’ construction office work is an asset
  • 2+ years Administrative Assistant experience is required
  • 2+ years’ Bookkeeping experience is an asset


Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail, and great organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong mathematical skills are required
  • Outstanding customer service orientation
  • Openness to constructive criticism and the desire to learn new methods and systems


Base Salary: $20-25/hr


Work Hours:

  • Flexible working hours (i.e. half days, or shorter week)
  • M-F, 20 hours per week


Remote Work:

  • This position is not remote and required to be on-site.


Additional Notes:

  • This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
