Accounts Receivable Clerk(3 Month Contract to Permanent Position)

We are hiring an Accounts Receivable Clerk to work from our head office in Vaughan, Ontario. Reporting to the Office Manager, this is a 3 month contract with a possibility to switch to permanent.

The successful candidate will have a desire to contribute to our rapidly growing, family-owned company.This role will be responsible for full-cycle Accounts Receivable and Merchant Chargebacks duties.

Start Date:ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

•Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with policies and procedures

•Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, sorting, entering, posting and saving accounts receivables’ data

•Prepare and post credits, invoices, bank deposits and merchant chargebacks

•Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted

•Verify discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues

•Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients

•Identify day-to-day priorities and ensure the work is completed on time with 100% accuracy

•Perform clerical duties as required & or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

•A degree/diploma in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration

•Minimum 2 years of Accounts Receivable Experience required

•Solid understanding of accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulation

•Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records

•Experienced in handling rebate calculations and merchandise chargebacks

•Hands-on experience working with accounting ERP software is a must, knowledge of SAP is an asset.

•Proficiency in MS Office; intermediate to advance MS Excel knowledge including experience using pivot tables, v-lookup, etc. is required.

•Must be customer-oriented with excellent communications skills, high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

•Must possess excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills

•Experience working in a distribution company; fast paced environment
