Agilus is recruiting for a Manager Financial Accounting in the manufacturing industry in Edmonton, Alberta.

The Manager, Financial Accounting will be overseeing a team of around 7 individuals and ensuring the financial reporting and accounting is in line with the organizations policies and procedures. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in bringing their vast financial accounting expertise over and mentoring junior employees. This is a full-time permanent position, fully onsite(no hybrid or remote) - Monday to Friday - 7:30 to 4:00 p.m.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the finance team (financial analysts, accounts payable, accounts receivable etc)
• Work with external and internal auditors and tax consultants
• Monitor, audit, and report any DOA infringements
• Review journal entries
• Review monthly account reconciliations and ensure they are up to standard
• Prepare consolidated reports and monthly reports

Successful candidates will have:

• Experience with closing month end books
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, ERP and computerized financial accounting systems. Experience with Dynamics 365 is an asset.
• CPA designation is preferred
• Minimum 6 years of experience in full cycle accounting, including financial statements preparation, reporting, and analysis
• Experience in a leadership and/or management role
• Excellent communication skills
