What You’ll Do

• Provide ad-hoc reporting
• Key in vendor invoices, ensuring GL coding and project coding is accurate
• Communicate with customers to resolve issues and collect overdue amounts
• Work with manufacturing/logistics/commercial operations to ensure smooth shipment transactions within the ERP system to allow for customer invoicing
• Assist with producing weekly cheque and wire payments
• Generate invoices for all goods and services, ensuring proper revenue recognition parameters have been achieved and FOB terms met
• Generate accurate AR aging for customer accounts and highlight delinquent accounts
• Support month end by completing various reconciliations
• Other tasks as required
• Create customer accounts within the ERP system
• Assist with three-way matching to ensure vendor invoices are accompanied by supporting packing slips and approved purchase orders
• Process and record customer payments in the form of cheques, EFT’s, and credit cards in various currencies
• Follow up with vendors/internal employees to resolve issues related to invoices/PO’s
• Assist with approving sales orders by ensuring accuracy with customer purchase order

Who You Are

• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Is a team player who can work with multiple teams, but can perform tasks individually
• Diploma in accounting is a minimum
• Experience with Canadian and US sales tax
• Intermediate knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Detail oriented and able to perform reconciliations in a timely and efficient manner with a high level of accuracy
• Can work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Has strong oral and written communication skills
