If you have exceptional customer service skills, knowledge in personal insurance or willing to learn, and are interested in working in a team atmosphere for a growing brokerage with a long history of putting clients first – this may be the position for you.

We are a brokerage with a strong customer service background, and we are looking for someone who will put the customer’s needs first. We have a strong team in place that work like a well-oiled machine, and we are looking to add one more to that existing dynamic.

The position is for an Account Manager/CSR.

The account manager role would be mainly personal lines, responsible for an existing book of business, new business sales, and re-writes to assist the other Account Managers. The role would also entail covering Account Managers book of business when they are on holidays, or extended leave and would also offer occasional support for commercial department (no commercial experience necessary, we can train you). Finally, this role would also be involved in special projects as they arise.

The individual would need to be proactive and personable with the ability to build strong relationships with everyone in the office. They need to be able to work with minimal supervision and comfortable to jump into any file and run with it. They have to be organized, able to work efficiently and switch from task to task with ease. The benefit of this role is that you also get to be a problem solver and assist your teammates when they need you.

Salary would be determined based on experience.

About the Position:

  • Answer in bound calls and customer service out bound follow up calls
  • Generate quotes, complete applications for clients, process new business sales, bind coverage, prepare documentation and payment follow up
  • Keep current on underwriting rules and workflow processes
  • Must strive to meet and exceed all customer expectations
  • Build meaningful professional relationships with an existing book of clients
  • Electronic interfacing with insurers, including applications for new business, endorsements and renewals.
  • Process renewals and endorsement transactions
  • Service Customers through telephone, email, and online chat capabilities

About You:

  • Working knowledge of a Broker Management System (BMS) is required. Knowledge of PowerBroker and Applied Rating Services is an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – with the ability to communicate with various age demographics over email, text and telephone to simplify insurance
  • Genuinely caring towards others
  • Post-Secondary Education or Equivalent Experience
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Familiarity with various company portals is an asset
  • An unwavering dedication to exceeding customer expectations
  • RIBO License is an asset
  • Adaptable to change
  • Ability to be a key component of a team and support fellow co-workers
  • Comfortable with technology and proficient in applications including MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
