Job Description
DUTIES
Reporting to the Associate Dean, School of Contemporary Teaching & Learning (SCTL), the Administrative Coordinator will contribute to a culture of Operational and Academic Excellence by leading the logistical requirements of all faculty development initiatives at St. Lawrence College. These initiatives will require the incumbent to utilize their strong business acumen to build relationships with internal/external stakeholders, generate/review financial reports and coordinate special events on all three campuses.
In this role, the incumbent will work with a multidisciplinary team of teaching/learning experts to support existing faculty development programming and provide logistical support to new training opportunities that meet the needs of the academic division. The incumbent will also contribute to strategic planning by providing financial forecasting, managing enrolment data, and supporting the implementation of the course evaluation process.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
A minimum of a 3-year diploma/degree in Business or another relevant field of studies.
A minimum of 4 years of experience coordinating regulatory business processes as the lead representative of a service department or organization. Experience in a higher education environment is a strong asset. Demonstrated experience managing financial resources including forecasting, managing, and monitoring complex budgets. Practical experience working with multiple stakeholders within largescale projects or special events. Experience applying strong communication, conflict resolution and negotiation skills to influence results and strategic direction is required.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a complex and matrix environment as part a tri-campus team
  • Ability to work with multiple internal and external stakeholders within event planning initiatives
  • Proficiency with computer technology, excel spreadsheets and presentation software (Microsoft Office Suite); email communications (Outlook); PeopleSoft Student Information Systems, Human Resource Systems, and Financial Systems, and Databases
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Strong time management, prioritizing and multi-taking skills in an environment and the ability to work under the pressure or timelines with competing priorities
Physical/Work Environment Essential Requirements:
The successful incumbent must have the ability to report to the work location and work temporarily from a remote location with reliable internet access, as approved by the College and in accordance with the college’s Telework Policy.
Salary & Terms
  • Start Date: August 28, 2023
  • Admin Group: Pay Band 9: $69,600 - $87,001 per annum, commensurate on education and experience. In addition to the salary, the position is eligible for pay for performance.
