Five to eight years of related experience, at the finance director level.

Post secondary education in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or other related studies.

Provide strategic financial leadership by preparing and presenting financial reports to the Finance Committee and Board of Directors.

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field - Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA) a plus

Manage release of capital notices and quarterly reporting on investor reporting portal

Work closely with manager, team and support functions to manage client expectations and ensure adherence to SLA timelines on client deliverables

Demonstrate knowledge of Private Equity fund structures and accounting flows

Manage year-end process and handle requests from external auditors and tax teams

7+ years experience in an accounting role, preferably at a Big 4, PE firm or fund administrator

A supply chain management designation is an asset but not required

Progressive experience in a centralized function with knowledge of Best Practices

A university degree in business administration, technology, or law or relevant years of experience

Demonstrated experience tracking KPI’s and negotiating with vendors

Procurement execution experience is an asset but not required

Experience with vendor performance programs is an asset

Preparation/ review of MIS, budget vs actual, monthly and annual financial statements for investors and management.

Develop long term budgetary planning and costs management in alignment with the organizations strategic plan

Formulation of Annual operation Budget and Capex Budget and presentation to the management.

Responsible for overall accounting function

Establishing and executing internal control over accounting and financial reporting

Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction

Minimum 3+ years progressive financial management experience

Train and supervise the Accounts Department staff and raise awareness of financial management matters and meeting the organization’s financial objectives

Oversee, manage and exceed year-end audits and periodic client audits

Ensure financial compliance with all federal and provincial legislation, including regulatory year-end reporting requirement

Ensure all company vendors/liabilities are paid on time and internal controls are in place to ensure valid payments

Manage cash flow and ensure adequate cash flow to meet organization’s needs

Oversee the management of cash flow, capital expenditures, and financing activities to ensure the financial health and stability of the company.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.

Lead and manage all financial and accounting functions including financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.

Lead and manage the annual budgeting process and monthly financial forecasting to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.

Manage fund treasury, including capital calls and distributions and assist in long-term cash management.

A CPA, with preferably, past public accounting experience, with IFRS and/or US GAAP reporting knowledge.

Manage the preparation of quarterly, and annual investor reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial information.

Liaise with deal professionals to ensure they meet investment treasury requirements.

Detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills. Able to focus on the objectives of the firm.

Experience overseeing a third-party administrator would be an asset.
