Senior Field Claims Representative Jobs

Manage moderate to complex personal and commercial property claims

Minimum 5 years of property claims adjusting experience

Preference will be given to candidates with related business experience, particularly in commercial and field adjusting

Effective written and verbal communication, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Confirming policy coverage by ensuring the facts of the claim fall within the scope of the policy

Participate in the management of loss and expense reserves

University degree or college diploma and/or equivalent business experience or any combination of equivalent education and experience

Manage claims through the litigation process

3+ years of experience working in Auto, Personal Liability and/or Commercial General Liability Claims

Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented and organized

Strong Systems application skills and keyboard navigation

Highly proficient time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work in a fast paced, changing environment

A minimum of 2+ years insurance claims adjusting experience

Strong knowledge of property estimating software, Xactware knowledge preferred

Effective customer service skills including empathy and concern for our customers

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Excellent investigative and analytical skills

Highly proficient time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work in a fast paced, changing environment

5+ years insurance adjusting experience

Excellent knowledge of property estimating software, Xactware knowledge preferred

Effective customer service skills including empathy and concern for our customers

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Excellent investigative and analytical skills

Handle relationships with internal and external partners involved in management of customer claims

Acquire and maintain appropriate provincial adjuster licenses and comply with continuing education requirements – where required

Communicate policy coverage and benefits to customers

Identify and report on any suspicions of fraud or financial irregularities in line with existing internal and external requirements and procedures

CIP or FCIP Industry designation or other relevant professional insurance qualification

University Degree or College Diploma or equivalent Property technical work experience

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders

Minimum 5 years’ Adjusting experience.

Detailed knowledge of 1st Party Property Coverages

Strong communication skills and de-escalation methodologies

Attend claims assigned within a designated territory

Investigate, negotiate, and settle losses within set guidelines

Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success

Minimum 5 to 8 years of claims handling experience in the property/casualty sector is required

General insurance experience is an asset

Strong communication and time management skills

Experience with and/or knowledge of the legal dispute process for insurance claims

Ensure all claims and investigations are clearly documented and meet all legislative requirements

A minimum of 2 years claims adjusting experience in Auto Property Damage insurance

Knowledge of provincial insurance act, Ontario Auto policy

Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills

Knowledge of claims and case management human resource practices and relevant collective agreements.

Performs a variety of administrative duties such as preparing correspondence, reports, policies/procedures, minutes, charts and graphs using various software programs.

Initiates and maintains efficient manual and electronic filing systems to fulfill required needs.

Demonstrated ability to effectively deal with staff, third party providers and the general public

Ability to type at 65 wpm

Ability to operate related equipment including applicable software applications
