Minimum of two years of veterinary technician or assisting experience in a clinic/hospital environment.

Create monthly and quarterly reports for the Risk Manager’s review.

Provide premium and financial information to finance department.

Minimum one year's experience in the insurance industry

Organize and maintain all departmental documentation in accordance with document management protocol;

Organize and maintain in real-time the insurance and risk management data in the Risk Management Information System (RMIS);

Assist in the day-to-day management of insurance and risk-related matters.

Manage all third-party insurance certificate requests, providing stakeholders with accurate certificates in a timely manner;

Ensure all insurance policy documentation (binders, policies, endorsements) and invoicing is requested, monitored, and processed in a timely manner;

Ensure the quarterly premium adjustments for acquisitions, refinancings and dispositions are accurate;

Oversight and negotiation of the College’s commercial insurance program

Knowledge and experience in threat assessment and risk management, triaging risk, sexual violence, mental health, behavioural issues and/or addictions an asset

Minimum undergraduate degree in a related field; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered

3 to 5 years of experience working in a complex and confidential environment

Extensive knowledge of suicide intervention, violence prevention, and privacy legislation

Exceptional knowledge of a wide variety of resources on campus and in the community for students, staff, and faculty members

Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to thoughtfully communicate sensitive information

Experience in claims management is an asset.

Providing direction to TPA personnel and oversight of claims management practices, including handling of any quality issues.

Developing and maintaining relationships with external and internal stakeholders, carriers, vendors, and other key members of the risk management industry.

Maintaining a diary for all claims overseen and ensuring that all reporting requirements of carriers and the Company are met.

Evaluating insurance policies and respective coverage for accuracy and confirming adequacy of contractual requirements.

Bachelor’s or college degree (Equivalent or relevant work experience will be considered)

for an experienced and motivated individual.

• Minimum of three (3) years related experience preferably in a municipal environment.

• Excellent analytical, problem solving and oral/written communication skills

• Knowledge of the Registry/Land Titles procedures

• Knowledge in Electronic Registration Procedures Guide (EREG) for Teraview with the ability to interpret results
