Validated project management experience is required

Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus, working knowledge of Six Sigma or Lean principles is required

Provide knowledge and expertise to the Umicore Centre of Excellence Transportation (transportation and external warehousing)

5+ years of substantial and direct-functional experience in logistics

Develop strategy for compliance, information management and reporting by requirements and audience (internal, regulators, Indigenous, public).

Implement, manage and oversee compliance for all environmental project approval and permit conditions and requirements.

Develop a resource and management plan for RBT2 construction and operations compliance monitoring and reporting

The Manager, Regulatory Compliance Will Have The Following Accountabilities

Lead environmental and consultation-related data room uploads and upkeep, assigning roles and responsibilities to contractors, input into RFQ, reviews.

Oversee and manage significant environmental budgets and work stream scope including financial reporting, preparation of submissions, and scope change authorization.

Preferred Skills: Familiarity with pesticide and VOC regulations. Familiarity with CEPA DSL and TSCA requirements.

Support regulatory assessment of new products and/or new markets.

Keep track of new government regulations affecting Recochem.

Other duties as specified by the Director.

Project management skills with a demonstrated ability to write detailed technical reports;

Evaluating Request for Proposals and prepare responses, develop work scopes, budgets and schedules, and providing project management;

Willingness to occasionally travel, including to remote locations and outside standard office hours;

Managing projects related to renewable energy, transportation, industrial development, infrastructure, mining and oil and gas sectors;

Managing projects and our clients simultaneously while fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment;

Acting as a mentor for junior staff and collaborate regionally and nationally with other EIA practitioners;

10+ years of project / program management experience, including:

Ensuring effective change management occurs throughout the course of the project

Privacy and Compliance experience within Financial Institutions an asset

Defining, documenting and completing complex, high impact projects with a great number of interdependencies

Articulating clear plans with milestones; holding people accountable to action plans

Proactively identifying, assessing, and managing risks that impede successful project delivery

Liaise with a diverse group of stakeholders, including senior management of iGaming operators regarding compliance priorities and issues.

Expert knowledge and demonstrated experience in:

A Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education.

Demonstrated experience in managing and leading teams of professional staff in a fast-paced, technically challenging, and ever-changing environment.

Strong judgement with an ability to be direct, clear, and decisive with respect to compliance requirements and issues.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in a variety of complex situations.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent Industry-recognized qualifications and certifications in Information Security and/or Risk Management (CISSP /CRISC/CISSP).

Seek industry trends and knowledge to support effective risk management practices.

Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills, including relationship management, problem-solving, analytical, research, and quantitative skills.

People management and leadership skills.

Have self-discipline and organization with proven time management skills.

Ensure fair presentation of risk statements, findings, responses, and controls in ongoing reporting and escalate to senior management when necessary.

Perform control testing on regulatory requirements

Detailed knowledge of regulatory compliance policy and procedures

Review related documents including policies, procedures, laws and government instruments 

Identify failures and document trends

Build partnerships to support understanding of results

Review inquiries and adjust results as needed

Designing and managing knowledge management repositories within the OEC team

Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, IT or equivalent work experience

Exposure to compliance roles such as audit, risk management and anti-bribery and corruption law compliance is preferred

Full proficiency with the English language is required; secondary language skills are a nice-to-have

Strong communication skills (both written and presentation)

Demonstrated ability to manage senior leadership and stakeholders in dynamic environments

Manage all compliance work, including compliance monitoring and enforcement program

You have a minimum five years’ experience managing and leading a team, preferably a legal, regulatory or compliance team

You have a minimum one year of experience in either contract law, employment law, privacy law or insurance law

You have experience and good judgment in contract review and interpretation, as well as risk reporting.

You are fluent in English, with excellent written and oral communications skills. French is a nice to have.

Experience working with regulatory procedures and regulatory bodies.
