Procurement Contract Specialist Jobs

Bachelor’s degree, law clerk certification or relevant experience in a corporate legal setting preferred

Experience with contracting processing tools, workflow management and reporting

Upload agreements into a contract management system and other legal databases as appropriate

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with SharePoint and contract management software is an asset

Participate in weekly team meetings and strategy sessions with Contract Manager

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

• RFP project management experience is required

• Manage and track RFP projects

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an RFP response and Quotation function

• Contracts administration experience with good understanding of terms and conditions

• Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills

Proven experience in contract/agreement negotiation and management.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Knowledge/experience within a Capital Organization preferred.

Provide interpretation of contract language to Regional Sales Managers to enable accurate assessment of technical obligations.

Provide contractual professional guidance to team members to ensure the project is executed according to contract requirements.

3 to 5 years or more of contract sales experience is preferred.

Generally 10+ years’ experience; Typically 5+ years supervisory and/or management experience; Manages work directly or indirectly through Managers.

Negotiates the more difficult, complex, or sensitive issues with customer management.

May make staffing recommendations, offer training, reviews work produced, completes performance evaluations and counseling as needed.

BA/BS degree in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent or relevant experience.

May participate in strategic planning for project, i.e., risk assessment, bid/no bid analysis, business plan.

Reviews requests for proposals particularly to identify risks and terms which may not conform to Company policy.

Post-secondary level education in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution

Responsible for day to day functions of contract administration, including but not limited to: contract approvals, extensions and renewals.

Support the team with Requests for Proposals, contract negotiations, procurement planning and building stronger supplier relations.

Expert knowledge of entire contract management cycles, including administration and resolution of cost claims.

5 + years’ experience in both Public & Private Procurement / Supply Chain Management;

Must possess strong contract management, project management, facilitation and organizational skills;

Improve financial performance through cost reduction, continuous improvement initiatives, data analysis, and management and implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives;

Post-Secondary education in a related field preferred or equivalent combined years of experience;

Negotiate price and delivery by specifications to ensure products/services purchased are cost-effective, meeting quality and delivery requirements;

Complete all Ministry requirements for reporting annually, monthly and as required.

Required Experience: 3 or more years of proven work experience as an IT Technical Trainer.

Required Skills:Ability to create technical documentation for the purposes of training a non-technical audience.

Expertise in industry-available media and education delivery processes (e.g., computer-based training, web-based training, etc.) and modern educational techniques.

Knowledge of designing technical course material.

Ability to build rapport, influence others with ease, and establish and manage relationships with all levels of employees.
