Liaise with Project Management team

Serve as a trusted advisor to the internal Project Management team

Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent

1 - 2 years of previous experience in project accounting

2+ years full accounting cycle experience including accounts payable.

Strong analytical skills with an expert level of Excel spreadsheet skills.

Full understanding of SOX controls and documentation requirements.

Efficiently utilize technical knowledge from courses to carry out work projects and assignments

Prepare and complete working papers and financial statements as per regulatory standards

Gather evidence for Assurance engagements

Build positive working relationships with clients and effectively respond to request and suggestions

Post secondary education in Accounting or Finance would be considered an asset;

One (1) year of experience in an accounting or administrative role;

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;

Experience with Yardi would be considered an asset.

Assist with managing liquidity such as cash sweeps, payment fundings, and other cash movements required;

Process payments such as EFT, ACH, wires, and bill pay (including file imports) in our banking platforms;

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance.

1 to 4 years of related experience preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Part-time, will lead up to full-time

Able to choose your part-time schedule

Monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements

Ensure AP approval processes are compliant with audit requirements - from PO creation to invoice approvals

Years accounting or business operations experience

Team work with remote team members and the ability to create a sound working relationship.

SAP knowledge a plus but not required

Manage day-to-day data entry of vendor invoices

Reconcile inventory management system with accounting system on a monthly basis

Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience in a manufacturing environment

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook Office 365

Match invoices with purchase orders (POs) and delivery slips, obtaining necessary approvals

Exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work within established deadlines and time constraints;

An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

Manages foreign exchange risk, exposure and requirements;

Previous experience utilizing a variety of financial and/or accounting related software packages such as Sage 300

Experience in customer services would be an asset

Any previous accounting work experience, especially in public practice including co-ops, to demonstrate your maturity and work ethics is an asset

Whether in an academic or professional setting, experience with CaseWare/CaseView, Taxprep, Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
